I'm Matt Littlehale.

I've been leading engineering teams for about twenty years. That means setting technical direction, building the teams that ship it, and writing code when it needs writing.

Through M. Littlehale & Co. I work as a fractional CTO and engineering advisor. I keep it small and only take a few clients at a time, so I can actually work inside the team.

Most of that work is AI transformation, engineering organization design, and systems architecture. A fractional CTO engagement is usually some mix of all three.

I built production AI agents at Nomad Health, a healthcare staffing company. These days I'm an engineering leader at A Place for Mom.

I talk about building AI agents that ship. I gave Deterministic Until Proven Otherwise at Datadog DASH in June, and a version of it at Jersey Shore Tech & Design in October. I write about engineering and AI at matt.computer.
